Come and enjoy spending an exciting weekend in an area of outstanding natural beauty, meeting and playing with other guitarists, classes with top professional players and teachers, concerts and playing opportunities all in a friendly, fun, relaxed environment.
The course is open to all ages from 18 years upwards. There will be plenty of socialising including enjoying sea view evening meals together. In the breaks there will be people to relax with or a chance to have time to yourself. The ensemble music will be arranged to suit all levels and music will be sent out in advance. If you wish to play in the master class, please email Alison asap (all course members will observe, enjoy and learn from the master class but places will be limited to play).
The classes and concerts will take place in the pretty historic twin fishing villages of Cawsand and Kingsand, an artist's paradise. One of the concert venues is by the rocks on the water's edge and the master class venue overhangs the sea and has a balcony for the coffee break! All the venues are in easy walking distance from each other. The sea and beaches ,with excellent bathing water, are easily accessible as are cafes, pubs, shops & galleries.
The course begins on Friday 5th September at 1.30pm with a delicious arrival Cornish afternoon tea. The first class will start at 3pm. The last class will finish at 5pm on Sunday 7th September to allow people time to travel home) and will include an informal play through of ensemble music covered on the course.
If anyone would like to extend their stay, Alison will be around on Monday and there will be lots on offer such as stunning coastal walks, surfing lessons with Adventure Bay Surf school, paddle boarding ,Kayaking, coasteering, chilling on one of the beaches, Segways in Mount Edgcumbe Park or exploring it's 835 acres, house, formal gardens, National Camellia collection, craft shops, visit St Antony House, a National Trust property used as a film set for Tim Barton's film Alice in Wonderland, a boat trip to Plymouth's historic Barbican, sea front and National Marie Aquarium, fishing, golf and much more!

To book your place an £80 deposit is required. The balance is due by 7th July
In the unlikely event we have to cancel due to covid restrictions, any money paid will be refunded.

Delicious arrival Cornish afternoon tea in the iconic historic Grade 2 listed clock tower overhanging the sea.

All coffee/tea, cakes and biscuits in the breaks
